Make the Most of Your Interview Opportunity

Data is very easy to come by in the digital age, so we are confident that applicants have what it takes to come to an Endless Executives interview well-informed. There’s more to acing a job conversation than just reading the company website though. Here are some other tips for making the most of an upcoming meeting:

• Use Connections to Get Insider Information: If you’ve built a strong network, then chances are good you know someone (or know someone who knows someone) who works at the company with which you’re interviewing. If not, here’s an Endless Executives pro tip: make a connection. Call the business and ask to speak to someone who can answer a few questions about the position. Most managers, even if they can’t speak with you right then, will appreciate your initiative.

• Practice Your Delivery: Either with a friend or while recording yourself (in fact, both are extremely useful), run through a mock interview where you answer common interview questions that you’re certain will come up in one form or another. Not only will this help you make a more polished presentation, but you’ll be able to pay attention to details like tone of voice and body language.

When candidates feel prepared, they’re more confident, and being self-assured is often the secret to being our best selves.
